Associate Software Engineer

Job Title: Associate Software Engineer Location: Remote (India) Experience Required: 4+ years About the Role: The Associate Software Engineer is a growth-focused position designed for individuals eager to learn and contribute to the development of AI-assisted solutions. You will work within a small, collaborative pod, where you will design, implement, and deliver features using AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle. With mentorship from senior engineers, you will gain hands-on experience in building scalable SaaS products while enhancing your skills in this innovative field. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Technical PMs and pod members to translate product requirements into detailed technical specifications. - Contribute to the development of specifications, learning to define acceptance criteria, edge cases, and non-functional requirements with guidance from senior engineers. - Utilize AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) to generate code implementations based on specifications. - Review AI-generated code for correctness, security, and architectural alignment, with support from senior team members. - Validate AI-generated tests and contribute to ensuring comprehensive test coverage. - Support and maintain existing services, ensuring high availability and performance. - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for specifications and AI workflows. - Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. - Document processes and share knowledge with team members to foster a culture of learning. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Python, with the ability to write clean, maintainable code. - Strong understanding of data structures and scalable software design principles. - Experience with HTML, CSS, and web technologies for inspecting and interacting with page elements (selectors, DOM manipulation). - Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows, preferably using tools like Claude or similar platforms. - Knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases, such as MySQL. - Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, for managing code changes. - Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. - Adaptable and eager to learn new tools, frameworks, and AI-assisted programming techniques. Good to Have Skills: - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello). - Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
