About us

We're building the hiring layer that judges potential, not paperwork.

HRFY.com started with a straightforward observation about how recruiters actually spend their day, and a conviction that the most valuable part of hiring is the part nobody has time for.

The problem we saw

Recruiters spend their time filtering resumes instead of evaluating true potential.

Open a role and the applications arrive in the hundreds. A recruiter's day gets consumed by the mechanical part of the job: opening files, scanning for keywords, checking whether a title roughly matches a requirement, and moving a name from one column to another. It is necessary work, and it is almost entirely pattern-matching against a document the candidate wrote about themselves.

What gets squeezed out is the part that determines whether a hire works: understanding how someone reasons through a problem, whether they can explain a decision they made, how they handle being asked a harder follow-up question. That evaluation takes a real conversation, and there are never enough hours in the week to have it with everyone who deserves one. So the funnel narrows on the weakest available signal, and strong candidates get filtered out for reasons that have nothing to do with whether they could do the work.

We did not think the answer was to make recruiters read faster. We thought the filtering should be handled by something that never gets tired, so the humans could spend their time on judgement.

The spark of HRFY.com

If an interview can be structured, it can be scaled.

The insight was that a good interview is not improvisation. It follows a shape: establish a claim, probe the claim, ask what happened when it went wrong, and listen for whether the reasoning holds. That shape can be described, and once described, it can be run consistently, at any hour, for any number of candidates, without the interviewer's attention degrading on the fortieth conversation of the week.

So we built VEDA to hold that conversation and to show its work. Every rating it produces points back to the exact moment in the transcript that justifies it. Nothing is a black box, because a hiring decision you cannot explain is a hiring decision you cannot defend. The recruiter stays in charge; what changes is that they arrive at the decision with evidence instead of a stack of PDFs.

Empowering the next generation

A fair shot should not depend on who reads your resume first.

Every hire is someone's opportunity and someone else's risk. When the evaluation is thin, both sides lose: capable people are passed over for reasons that were never really about capability, and teams end up defending decisions they cannot explain. Consistency is not a nice-to-have here. It is the whole point.

We want the next generation of talent to be assessed on how they think and what they can actually do, and the next generation of hiring teams to make those calls with evidence in hand. That is the standard we hold the platform to, and the reason we keep the reasoning visible on every score we produce.
