Networks Engineer

Job Title: Networks Engineer Location: Remote (India) Experience Required: 3-5 Years About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Networks Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of networking technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Design, configure, and maintain local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) to support business operations. - Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability. - Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects and initiatives. - Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement. - Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance. - Provide technical support and training to end-users and IT staff on network-related issues. - Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and industry trends to enhance network performance. - Assist in capacity planning and network scalability to accommodate future growth. - Participate in on-call support rotation to address network incidents outside of regular business hours. Required Skills: - Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and technologies (Ethernet, VLANs, etc.). - Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls. - Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios). - Familiarity with cloud networking concepts and services (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Good to Have Skills: - Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform). - Knowledge of VoIP technologies and implementations. - Familiarity with SD-WAN solutions and architectures. - Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.
