JOB TITLE: Remote Sensing & GIS Analyst COMPANY: Niruthi Climate & Ecosystem EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 3–5 Years JOB LOCATION: HYDERABAD ABOUT THE ROLE: Niruthi Climate & Ecosystem is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Remote Sensing & GIS Analyst to join our growing geospatial and data analytics team. In this role, you will work on geospatial analysis, remote sensing data processing, and GIS-based automation to support mission-critical applications used by insurance companies and environmental intelligence platforms. You will contribute to building and maintaining large-scale geospatial databases, developing analytical models, and delivering high-quality insights that improve operational efficiency and decision-making for clients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist in preparation and management of geospatial and remote sensing components for large-scale BINS databases • Apply geospatial and remote sensing concepts with strong application-level understanding • Update and maintain BINS databases including geocoding and reverse geocoding processes • Develop and implement GIS automation scripts using Python, GeoPandas, ArcPy, and PyQGIS • Work with geoservers, spatial projections, raster and vector data processing using Python and GDAL • Perform geospatial analysis to ensure spatial accuracy, consistency, and data quality • Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams to maintain best geospatial practices • Develop and validate scripts to integrate geospatial data with relational database attributes • Create maps, charts, and visualizations to communicate insights and validate analytical results • Write technical documentation and prepare reports for internal teams and clients • Present analysis methods, workflows, and findings to stakeholders and team members • Identify opportunities to improve geospatial workflows and implement automation or process enhancements SKILLS REQUIRED: • Strong understanding of GIS, remote sensing, and spatial data analysis • Proficiency in GIS software such as QGIS, ArcGIS Desktop, or ArcGIS Pro • Experience with geospatial Python libraries including GDAL, Rasterio, GeoPandas, Fiona, Shapely, and PyProj • Programming skills in Python and familiarity with R for geospatial data analysis • Experience with spatial databases such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS or SQL Server • Knowledge of geospatial data formats, spatial projections, and raster/vector processing • Ability to design, develop, and maintain geospatial databases and analysis workflows • Strong analytical thinking and attention to spatial data accuracy and quality • Effective technical documentation and presentation skills • Ability to work independently and manage project timelines effectively PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • B.Tech, M.Tech, or M.Sc. in Geo-Informatics, Remote Sensing & GIS, Data Science, or Spatial Technologies • Experience working with open-source geospatial tools such as SNAP, GDAL, or SAGA • Exposure to geospatial automation, spatial modeling, or environmental datasets • Experience working in interdisciplinary teams involving data science, climate, or environmental research • Strong willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve geospatial workflows WHY JOIN / WHAT WE OFFER: • Opportunity to work on impactful climate, ecosystem, and geospatial data projects • Exposure to large-scale geospatial datasets and advanced spatial analytics • Collaborative environment with multidisciplinary research teams • Opportunity to build expertise in geospatial automation and environmental intelligence systems • Competitive compensation and opportunities for professional growth
