ABOUT THE ROLE:
Niruthi Climate & Ecosystem is seeking an AI/ML Specialist with expertise in NLP, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Text-to-Speech technologies. In this role, you will develop machine learning systems and conduct advanced data analysis to improve the quality and intelligence of large-scale geospatial and environmental datasets. You will design NLP models to extract information from text, implement anomaly detection techniques to identify inconsistencies, and apply data science methods to evaluate and enhance data quality. The role involves developing, integrating, and deploying scalable AI models while collaborating with cross-functional engineering and research teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for NLP and data analysis tasks
• Build NLP pipelines to extract structured insights from unstructured text datasets
• Implement anomaly detection and outlier detection techniques to identify data quality issues
• Develop scalable ML solutions and integrate them into production systems
• Work with LLMs and transformer-based architectures for language understanding tasks
• Perform exploratory data analysis and apply data science methods to generate insights
• Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize and deploy AI models
• Maintain and improve ML pipelines and optimize model performance
• Document model architectures, workflows, and analytical methodologies
• Deliver features, model improvements, and analytical insights within project timelines
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Strong programming expertise in Python
• Hands-on experience with NLP models and language processing pipelines
• Professional experience working with LLMs, transformer models, and HuggingFace libraries
• Experience with machine learning techniques such as classification, clustering, feature engineering, and anomaly detection
• Knowledge of classical ML algorithms such as SVM, Random Forest, Naive Bayes, and KNN
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch
• Familiarity with data science libraries including Scikit-learn, NumPy, Pandas, and Polars
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build scalable machine learning pipelines and integrate them into production environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related field
• Experience working with speech technologies such as Text-to-Speech systems
• Exposure to large-scale data processing and model deployment pipelines
• Experience working with geospatial, environmental, or climate-related datasets
• Fluency in Odia language (speaking, reading, and writing)
